A Bitcoin address that took in more than 6,494 BTC over three weeks moved its entire confirmed balance, with nearly all of the traced coins passing through transactions that also paid a wallet historically attributed to Binance. The flow was worth roughly $423 million.
On-chain analytics firm Lookonchain surfaced the address early Sunday, describing its owner as a mysterious whale possibly a miner. The transaction history shows the scale and route of the funds but cannot confirm who controls the wallet.
The blockchain ledger has clear limits in this case. It cannot identify a single owner behind the address, cannot distinguish whether the movement represents a customer deposit or Binance's own wallet staging, and cannot reveal whether any trades were executed inside the exchange.
Placing a block of this size within reach of exchange infrastructure has raised concerns among observers about a potential sell-off, though the on-chain data alone does not confirm any sale has taken place or is planned.
